Yesterday we had the privilege of showcasing the latest advancements in Operational Technology (OT) security during the Spanish state visit to the Netherlands. Organized by ICEX Trade & Investment in collaboration with the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in The Hague, this prestigious event provided a unique platform for industry leaders to come together and discuss critical issues surrounding cybersecurity.
The primary objective of the state visit was to strengthen economic and business relations between Spain and the Netherlands. With distinguished guests including His Majesty the King of Spain and various high-ranking officials, the event offered unparalleled opportunities for interaction, collaboration, and the forging of strategic partnerships. Key discussions during the opening ceremony centered around economic security, with a strong emphasis on leveraging technology and innovation to address contemporary challenges.
Throughout the event, we emphasized the importance of collaboration in safeguarding the integrity and efficiency of OT systems. In today’s interconnected world, where automated systems and data analytics play an increasingly central role in industrial environments, ensuring data security is paramount. The company underscored the need for proactive measures to prevent data manipulation, which could have far-reaching consequences on decision-making processes and operational effectiveness.
Regulatory frameworks such as NIS2 underscore the urgency for companies to enhance the security of their OT systems. By fostering collaboration at both national and international levels, organizations can share insights, develop best practices, and collectively respond to evolving cyber threats. This collaborative approach not only strengthens the resilience of OT systems but also paves the way for a safer and more secure future.
Bert Willemsen, Executive Vice President of aXite Security Tools: “Participation in the Spanish state visit underscores our unwavering dedication to safeguarding critical infrastructure. By collaborating with industry partners and government agencies, we can collectively address the complex challenges posed by cyber threats and ensure the continued integrity of OT systems.”
