OT Security Engineer
Design, deploy and harden OT security architectures at airports, ports and energy sites where downtime is not an option.
About the role
As an OT Security Engineer at aXite, you sit at the heart of where operational continuity meets cybersecurity. You translate threat models into concrete network segmentation, monitoring and hardening for clients running critical infrastructure across the Netherlands.
What you'll do
- Design and implement network segmentation, firewalls and AX-Box Gatekeeper deployments at client sites
- Run risk assessments on PLC, SCADA and ICS environments, and write them up so the plant manager actually understands them
- Lead incident response when something does happen on an OT network
- Be the technical escalation point for our SOC analysts and consultants
- Contribute to our internal tooling and standards, we ship our own products, and your field experience shapes them
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in IT or OT security, with concrete experience in industrial environments
- Hands-on with at least two of: Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Tenable.OT, Claroty, Nozomi
- Comfortable in plants, control rooms, ports, not just behind a desk
- Working knowledge of IEC 62443, NIS2, NIST CSF
- Dutch and English at professional level
Nice to have
- GICSP, OSCP, CISSP, or equivalent certification
- Experience with maritime, aviation or energy clients
- PLC programming background (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider)
