Add security controls.
Keep the existing controller.
For operators protecting legacy and new control systems in steel processes, pipelines and port terminals. Add a field-layer boundary without changing PLC firmware, code or the operational application.
The controller still works. The security gap remains.
- 01
Maintenance access should not mean unrestricted access.
Controlled supplier maintenance access around supported PLCs with recorded activity.
- 02
A small change can affect the whole process.
Configuration-integrity monitoring and restriction of unwanted actions according to configured rules.
- 03
An audit needs more than a snapshot.
Local access, change and security-event records support ongoing evidence.
- 04
Replacing the PLC is an operational project.
Add controls without PLC firmware or code changes; inline installation and configuration happen during an agreed maintenance window.
Enforce controls around the controller.
AX-Box Gatekeeper adds local access, communication and change controls around legacy controllers. It does not modify PLC firmware, PLC code or the operational application.
Installation is inline and requires configuration plus an agreed maintenance window. Interfaces, latency, bypass and recovery are validated per installation.

The protection boundary is installation-specific.
Controller and protocol support, latency, bypass and recovery need validation against the installation. Hardware, software, management and configuration form the delivery scope.
Relevant frameworks include the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, which applies from 20 January 2027, and IEC 62443. Conformity of a deployment must be assessed for the installation. AX-Box Gatekeeper does not provide a safety certification.

Assess the protection boundary around your installation.
Start with the assets, interfaces and maintenance window. We can then define what the field-layer boundary needs to validate.
