Protect · Energy01 / 06

Energy grid endpoint security,
before the grid opens up.

For distribution system operator (DSO), security and grid-engineering teams assessing protection for smart meters and controllable energy grid endpoints.

Why now02 / 06

Two openings make local protection a concrete architecture question.

01

Help prevent coordinated attacks from spreading.

When commands can reach a distributed endpoint population, assess how local controls can limit the effect before it becomes a fleet-wide event.

02

Secure the transition to and within a connected grid.

When a low-voltage network gains internet-connected paths, assess the new remote-connectivity boundary against accepted interfaces and existing controls.

Pillar 1 · Protect03 / 06

Local protection where digital commands reach physical assets.

Central monitoring, segmentation and OEM security remain essential, but they do not automatically provide behavioural detection and policy enforcement at every asset. AX-Energy Protect adds local observation, anomaly detection and restriction of unauthorised communications according to configured policies, with events collected for central review.

01

Observe locally

Watch the local communication boundary.

02

Enforce configured policies

Restrict according to agreed rules.

03

Send events for review

Integrate events into central monitoring.

Deployment fit04 / 06

What AX-Energy Protect adds to your deployment.

A compact inline appliance with local detection and blocking is available today. The offer can include software or appliance as applicable, configuration, testing, and an agreed monitoring and support scope. AX-Box Gatekeeper has been adapted for use in the energy sector.

Virtual, container and embedded integration, mass provisioning, update and rollback, and offline validation need platform-specific development and validation. They are not a readiness guarantee.

01

Assess

Map assets, interfaces, dependencies and acceptance questions.

02

Lab

Configure a bounded pattern against supported platform and interface assumptions.

03

Validate

Assess latency, failure behaviour, availability, updates and rollback.

04

Pilot

Test a defined endpoint set in its operating context with agreed monitoring and support.

05

Scale

Only after validation, agree lifecycle, provisioning, updates and monitoring.
